Welcome to the Florida Boating Destinations section of our site. With Florida being ranked in the top three boating states, Florida boaters are
always on the watch to find new destinations to enjoy their boats. At Florida Boating and Outdoors we have a Boating Destination area that is designed and organized to easily to assist boaters in finding information to increase and enjoy the boating experience that Florida has to offer. We have accomplished this by dividing the state into eight geographic regions and within each region you will find information on popular destinations with clickable links for boaters to enjoy the Florida boating experience. The geographic regions that we have created are Florida Panhandle, North Central Florida, Northeast Florida, Central Florida, Lake Okeechobee, Southwest Florida, Southeast Florida, and Florida Keys. Highlighted in yellow, the counties included in the Florida Panhandle section are: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Homes, Washington Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Gadsden, Liberty, Franklin, Leon, Wakulla, and Jefferson. Highlighted in green, the counties included in the North Central Florida section are: Madison, Taylor, Hamilton, Suwannee, Lafayette, Dixie, Columbia, Gilchrist, and Levy. Some the popular cities in this North Central Florida Region include Cedar Key and Steinhatchee.
Northeast Florida
Highlighted in red, the counties included in the Northeast Florida section are: Baker, Union, Bradford, Alachua, Marion, Nassau, Duval, Clay, St Johns, Putnam, Flagler, Volusia, and Seminole. Some of the popular cities in this Northeast Florida Region include Amelia Island, Jacksonville, St Augustine, and Flagler Beach.
Central Florida
Highlighted in blue, the counties included in the Central Florida section are: Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, Sumter, Polk, Hardee, Desoto, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Okeechobee, Brevard, Indian River, St Lucie and Martin. Lake Okeechobee
Highlighted in white, the Lake Okeechobee Region will include all counties that border Lake Okeechobee, the largest freshwater lake in Florida.
Southwest Florida
Highlighted in pink, the counties included in the Southwest Florida section are: Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Monroe (excluding the keys), Glades and Hendry. Some of the popular cities in this Southwest Florida Region include Fort Meyers, Sanibel, Naples, and Marco Island. Southeast Florida
